I tend not to do write ups for the Jaz Parks series, mostly because they are delicious literary junk food for me* and because I read through 1-4 in the space of a month or so and you probably didn’t want to read about me spazzing about how I loved the action and the romance was smushy, but not overly so and the characters had a laugh at themselves ( Read more... )

First up is:

These review thingies are so overdue for these books. I finished them a month ago… orz

I think the only way to sum up this book in a sentence or so is to imagine Coraline, the Sandman, Neverwhere and The Spiderwick Chronicles all mushed together in their creepy otherworldliness and then add a whole lot more scary, creepy and disturbing and maybe then you’ll get Alabaster.

I finished Biting the Bullet the other day, the third in the Jaz Parks series. There wasn’t much going on in it, except that Jaz gets a power up and her first kiss with Vayl. So yeah, you could skip it, or just read the second half.
( I still want to know what Cassandra mean by Bergman having a bent towards magic, but now that's conflictiong with the revelation about Granny May. )

Okay, finished a few books recently. One was Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz and the other was One Good Night by Mercedes Lackey.
Not really a comment on everything and any thing post. More review-y.

Anyway… Blue Bloods was possibly worse than Twilight. I know I’m a fan of Twilight (well, as in I like it, not as in rabid) but I am aware of it ( Read more... )

 I am ridiculously excited after finishing Eclipse.
And kind of glad I didn't catch up until now, as Breaking Dawn is scheduled for release in Spring next year. Not that six months makes much difference but... it makes a difference to me? *shakes head instead of shrugging*
